TACTICS Artwork

Artwork by Casey Coolwell

Quandamooka, Nunukul woman
from North Stradbroke Island

This artwork represents the aims and activities undertaken to help our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people gain knowledge about, prevent, and deal with cancer. The centre piece, and TACTICS logo, represents the core of the TACTICS program and the additional elements spread outwards showing knowledge that will be fed out to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through the individual projects that stem from TACTICS.

The individual circled elements represent the projects that will form within the TACTICS program. The linking lines and dots (yellow lines, white dots) separate TACTICS aims but still keep them connected (brown dots).

The background patterns depict the different lands where the program will make contact. The outer blues represent the waters and seas where the program will make contact. The outer border pattern represents the flow of life and the footprints we make and leave behind.
